ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
QRC Art Legacy is an annual art exhibition dedicated to honouring, showcasing, and cataloguing the artistic legacy of Queen’s Royal College alumni.
The 2026 exhibition, themed Honouring Our Foundations: Generations of Art, brings together Royalian artists across generations whose work has contributed to visual art, performing arts, design, photography, sculpture, fashion, conceptual Mas, and cultural production in Trinidad and Tobago.
Queen’s Royal College stands majestically on the western edge of the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain. Its red-brick tower has long served as an identifier and lighthouse for intellectual, artistic, and athletic ambition in Trinidad and Tobago.
Since its establishment, the college has produced generations of leaders, writers, athletes, artists, scholars, and cultural contributors. QRC Art Legacy expands this story by foregrounding the artistic work that has emerged from the Royalian community.
Beyond QRC’s rigorous academic reputation lies a parallel history shaped through art, design, performance, and cultural imagination. This legacy has been etched in pigment, charcoal, sculpture, photography, fashion, conceptual Mas, and other creative forms.
The Royalian legacy in the visual and performing arts is a vibrant narrative that has contributed to the cultural identity of Trinidad and Tobago, with regional Caribbean influence and resonance beyond the region.
QRC Art Legacy exists to make this contribution visible, accessible, and documented.
