Karl Doyle (DOB 22.09.83) is a Trinidadian multi-disciplinary artist and cultural practitioner. From his first student exhibition in 2001 at Queen’s Royal College, to co-founding the jazz band Blue Culture (2002) and later developing its professional art and music platforms (2003–2012), his work has been anchored by a deference to the Royalian legacy that proudly shapes and constantly inspires him. He maintains close ties to the College, supporting its art, and co-curricular music and media programmes.

Active in the local arts scene since 2004, Karl has coordinated collaborative music and visual art initiatives, and participated in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions. Since 2006, he has also served as an in-house Graphics Artist for various local statutory agencies and programmes, provided visual design consulting for regional environmental and social research communication and brand identity, and produced events and media content for religious and cultural outreach.

Karl holds a BA in Visual Arts (2006), a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts and Cultural Enterprise Management (2010), and an MA in Cultural Studies (2024) from UWI, St. Augustine. A 2018 US State Department IVLP alumnus, he served on the boards of the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago (2017–2022) and the QRC Old Boys’ Association (2022–2025). Fueled by a passion for grassroots empowerment, creative value-chain development, and arts operational productivity, he earned certificates in Arts & Culture Strategy (UPenn/National Arts Strategies, 2022), Leadership in Arts Management (UMass Amherst, 2024), and Arts and Heritage Management (Università Bocconi, 2026).
